Signing in
Trackapt runs in a web browser. There is nothing to install.
Getting an account
You do not create your own Trackapt account. Somebody adds you to one.
- If your organisation already uses Trackapt, whoever manages your team adds you as a member and you receive an invitation. See Members and teams if you are the person doing the adding.
- If your organisation is new to Trackapt, the account is set up first, and the person who set it up becomes the account holder. Everybody else is added by them or by somebody they have given the right clearance to.
Signing in
- Open app.trackapt.co.zw in a browser.
- Enter the email address you were invited on, and your password.
- You land on Home.
Use the address you were invited on
Trackapt matches you to your membership by email address. Signing in with a different address — a personal one instead of a work one, say — creates a different identity that is not attached to your organisation, and you will see nothing.
If you cannot get in
| What happens | What it means |

| Your password is refused | Use the password reset link on the sign-in page. It emails the address you typed, so check that it is the right one. |
| You sign in but see almost nothing | You are signed in but not yet whitelisted on any tracker group. That is an access question, not a fault — see Who can do what. |
| The sign-in window seems to hang | Close the tab and open the address again rather than waiting. A window left open a long time before you use it can end up with a stale session. |
| You have no invitation at all | Ask your account holder to add you on the Members screen. |
Staying signed in
Trackapt keeps you signed in on a device between visits. On a shared machine — a till, a gatehouse computer, a workshop tablet — sign out at the end of your shift, because everything you record is recorded as you.
Never sell or record from a private or incognito window
This matters most at the retail till, which stores sales on the device until the network can carry them away. A private window throws that storage out when it closes, and sales that had not yet been sent go with it.
Using it on a phone
Trackapt works on a phone or a tablet, and several jobs are easier on one — a stock count down an aisle, a fill at the pump, a clock-in at a gate. Some conveniences differ on a small screen. See Using Trackapt on a phone.
